Does Link Popularity depend only on the no of backlinks?

Yes link popularity depends on backlinks but that should be from related sites.

link popularity refers to the no. of backlinks. but link should be relevent to your site.

Link Popularity depends on the quantity and quality of the incoming/inbound links but the relevance of your links carries more weight than the rest.

Yes, Link popularity depends on the no. of backlinks. so try to get more backlinks form relevent sites.

from the word itself link popularity,, your link is visible from many sites.. so the more you're visible on other sites,, the more popularity you'll gain.. but it's more helpful if you're visible in related sites.. it has more weight than other unrelated sites..

No, like what leftybogs said...it depends on the quality of your backlinks... of course it must be relevant to your site (also mentioned above) and comes from authority sites..

Link popularity has two branches Global and Local link popularity Global stand for related and non related link while Local is related link only.

Yup, Thats right another thing is try to create a unique quality link if some find if useful they will link you to there site which is natural link.
