Google increases your page rank if the back link's text is related to your website's keywords.

isnt the link text our own site name? then how will google check the keyword?

The link will point to your site, while the click-able text should be very related to your website's keywords. If your site is about SEO, then the link text like "SEO techniques" will be a good option. Google will consider this link as a quality link.
