I would like to come to my personal experience..If you have around 20 sites under your control, and to each sites you receive 2-10 spam messages a day to your 20 sites come down to 40-200 spam link exchange messages daily!
Physically you would not be able to track this amount of spam and will never find good offers. Link Building is a confusing yet low effective method, rather waste your time, efforts and money.

Link buidling is an important aspect of SEM and if done in a proper and professional way, then it helps to increase rankings of your website. Obviously if you do it in a wrong way by picking up random links from everywhere, you would end up no where and this would result in spam, as talked about by MarketingScoope.
If you are planning to get a link building campaign done for your website, get links from highly relevent article pages. This will not only improve your rankings, but will also bring you targeted traffic. If you need any other help, let me know...

If your business is such that there is enough organic keyword volume that you can justify the amount spent in SEO, it is worth it. Typically, I have seen that content companies benifit most from it. However if the keyword volume is low, it is more often advisible to crack SEM.

That's a basic in SEO, I suggest you go read some basic SEO manual you can find it through Google.LinksKing wrote:bluesky wrote:By adding links to your website, from quality sites and having the keyterms as anchor texts, you can improve your website rankings.
