Have I broke google rules?

Hi guys, first post from me and a little help if Possible PLease

I am slowly plugging away trying to work out all this SEO but I have had early success on some pages but 1 has vanished of google.

For the last few months if I put in 'removals to corfu' into google my Ionion page would be around top 3. But now it has gone. I have only tweaked slightly but i have put a google sitemap code on my home page.

The confusing bit is, if I put 'removals to rhodes' I am still top google on a similar page, and
'removals to crete' I am still on page 1, also a similar page.


How can I find out if I broke googles rules and try to recover from it

I'm wondering the same thing about my website.

About a month, my website was listed around position 40 for the search term "private property sales".

A couple of weeks ago it's position dropped to 528 for the same search term.

Now, when logging in to Google webmaster tools, the term isn't listed at all?!

I've tweaked the page to make the term appear more often, in the title, in a couple of alt tags for images as I've read this helps, but it seems to have done the opposite.

Does anyone have any advice here? Have I overdone it? Am I being impatient?

When you have a relatively new website, Google can be glitchy with your listings...sometimes things just disappear. If you have other pages that are still showing up in the Google index, its not likely that you did anything severe.

Work on a linking strategy within your sites to get pages reindexed. Also, if you have a blog, link to your missing pages from the blog and use the keywords you want to be listed for in your link. Anchor text is an important factor.
