How often does Google Index?

According to my experience, outbound links on some high PR pages are the key factor. I usually use social bookmarking sites to get my new sites indexed by google quicker. But for the first several days, you need to do the job everyday to make your site being stably indexed in google's data base.

I think its depend on how you always update your site.

In my experience it goes through fits and starts of indexing - at some points it does nothing and then at others googlebot is coming through the site constantly.

I agree though fresh content and fresh ways for googlebot to find your site - i.e. more links - the better quality the better but more links definately

With good SEO comes more regular updates. Seems to be the case for me anyway.

Pages get indexed all the time, probably even every second. PageRank, on the other hand, exports about every three months.

Hi all, I agree with the first reply in saying that the more updates you do to your website, the more often Google seems to go there. Its like adding fuel to the fire. Google seems to reward effort. It makes sense really.

Google bots will always crawl and index your page if you also provide a fresh content.

Google is indexing websites constantly, but for it to get to you, it might take weeks.

Google needs a new indexing bot to help the old one. It index 14 of my 16 pages because I added 2 new pages in order to keep the content fresh so that the bot notices but....he never came back its been a week.

So are there any other ways to get the bot to come more frequently other than constant content update?
Also on that note, how much update is required per page? Re-write the whole page every time?
