Okay, back to the point - I need to update my META TAGS to the head, but after the Great Crash of 2007 I am absolutely terrified of messing around with this thing at all, and without it the search engine wont pick me up, right?
Can anyone tell me how to do this?
I use Dreamweaver. Do I pull the index down to Dreamweaver and add the tags to it and upload it back, or how do I do it? Do I have to disable the board while I do this?

[PS. I am new to this board, as well as my own, and I am posting this same message in all 3 forums {the three major search engines}. This is not intended to be spam, I was told that Google picks up the tags differently and they must be inserted differently - I am still trying to figure that out too {I did mention I have NO SAVY ON THIS RIGHT??} and I am hoping to receive feedback that will help me to insert the appropriate tags for all three search engines. If my post is inappropriate I will happily adjust or modify immediately.]
