Google Ranking Vs Bookmarking Sites

Some times Bookmarking Sites like Digg beat some websites for all efforts of Google Ranking in minutes as bookmarks appear on first page. Does such websites get benefit of instant ranking in Google...?

digg is an authority to be considered as a bookmarking site...having link from this site will somehow gives benefit for your site...traffic favorably...

IMO. If a sb site has high pr then it only means that search engines crawl that sb site more often.

If that is the case, your keywords have more possibility to also be crawled and rankings will turn higher.

Google loves fresh topics and social bookmarking site is a well indexed site, there's great chance that contents submitted to them will be indexed and show on top.

Social bookmarking like digg is already authoritative website that's why it get indexed quickly and rank on top of google. But it doesn't mean that the website that is bookmarked in google and rank will also rank well in google.

As everyone else has said - Digg is an authority site which is why it ranks so quickly, having a link will help.

the only bad thing about this is digg can be syndicated...like digging there post with collaboration with others...too poor..though..
