Will google index my site?

I have a web site in googlepages namely http://thekeralatemples.googlepages.com and now unique site has been hosted as http://thekeralatemples.com

Site created in googlepages having index by google SE. Now i have submitted new site to google for consideration..

Will it be a problem since content of both sites are similar? what should i do to make my new site listed in google ???

this is really interesting. I've never encountered with the same situation as you. I think those two sites will be checked separately. when the google bot checks your new site, it may or may not see it as similar to your previous site. But if you followed the google requirements and protocols on your new site it is highly possible that you will indexed. If they won't index the new site, you can try contacting their customer support and explain to them your current problem. Maybe they could help you.

Have you submitted a sitemap on your google webmaster account? If not you can try to submit one. This will help in getting your pages be indexed faster.

Yes i have submitted sitemap for new site. Google is crawling the site, but not indexed yet. I have sent a mail to google webmaster ctrl also.

HTML redirection is given for each pages in old site to new web site pages, so that i will not miss any visitors..

Just keep adding fresh content and even if some of the content is already used on the google site it wont matter because the new content will get picked up and indexed.

Try Social bookmarking your site and you should be indexed in no time. Probably within 24 hours. I was with my newest site about a month ago.

Will it is a problem since you have a similar content. Edit the other site and make an original content.

I think those two sites will be considered as different sites and it's better to keep different content. But I don't think the content issue might stop you from getting indexed. Usually content might affect your SERP. Simply keep building your backlinks on both sites and it will help you much better than even submition to Google. When you do that Google will find and index your sites anyway IMO

I think it is always better to get original content.

remember the first indexed site will not be penalized for duplicate content. it will be the other one.

ALthough, there has been a debate on google penalizing duplicate content. but still i am the person who believes in duplicate content penalty..

Atlast Google indexed my site.

Thanks to all for all advices

Working hard on 1) quality content updation in site 2) quality link building, 3) social book marking and more important PATIENCE helped me in this

I think its not hard to get indexed on Google just ping your site and it will automatically indexed.

Just change the content of second site for indexing and better ranking.
