Avoid submitting your directory twice. Try other off-page like article submission, blogs, social bookmarking...

Some search engines, especially Google, have decreased the value of directories. Even confirmed listings in hand edited directories like DMOZ no longer provide a backlink in Google. Personally I'd focus on other forms of SEO and not count on any value or traffic from directory listings.

You don't have to submit same link to the same directory. It will not accept your request for the second time. Just find another list of directories to submit your link.
