Can anybody suggest, How can we promote local listing in google.

you should find some local site...where you can submit you links...

like classifieds, forums, directories etc etc.....

Your site should be hosted on your area and you should also have a regional domain like co.uk, co.au, etc...

You should put some local city /province name (for example: London,etc )in your web site.

Try also to search some local listing directories of your country/state/cities to submit your site or business. They are rare and sometimes requires payment. Best thing to do is to include those area in your content and in your anchor text when you are link building.

submit your sites in Google and Yahoo Local you can also post in Free classified sites like craigslist.org, olx.com, usfreeclassified.com, etc.

You should get backlinks from other local sites such as directories, chambers of commerce sites, etc. You need to actually have a physical location to submit to Google and Yahoo local. Check the backlinks of the competitor sites in google local to see where they are getting their links from.
