How do we improve the page rank higher. we are a 5, gotta be 6 or 7 - or im fired...I have a family

PR depends on your backlinks. So to increase your PR, just concentrate on your backlinks. To get more backlinks, update content regularly, prepare blog, submit your site in directories, use targeted keywords, do forum posting. All these points will help you in getting more backlinks & this will result in getting high PR.

You can boost your PR by building quality links for your site and adding unique contents to it. But don't get too concerned with your pagerank. Ranking and traffic are more important.

I hate to tell you this, but I just checked your PR and you are only a 4.

You also have about 73000 back links to your site, although Google only counts 143 as quality links.

I found all this out using the free tools on this site.

Just continue to do the top 5 suggestions on almost every site or blog you read, articles, forums, comments, link swaps, social bookmarking.

By the way, what is your time frame?

The only way to boost your PR high you need to concentrate on quality link buildings and it will take some time so have a patience for that.

i think you should give you site a lot of backlinks before google updates PR again.... you should post on relevant and quality site to increase your PR

Frequent updates and quality backlinks.

Less outbound links

More inbound links

Not bad links such as warez, redhat etc

after you build links to your site, then you should wait until google crawl it and update PR again

Based on 2 factors : 1) Domain age: you cant do any thing here.
2) back links : Links should be relevant and from Higher PR than yours (Try as best as you can).
