Is my title SPAM for search engines?
Hi,
I would like to know if Google, Yahoo or MSN would consider the title of my website as spam.
My title goes like "Contract Job Marketplace for Webmasters, Freelancers, Programmers, Translators, Custom Web Designers and more..."
Am I using too many commas???
Please help...

Hi ablaye,
It does't matter how many commas you use. What matters is the number of the words and the total number of characters you use in your title, description and keyword meta tags. Go to http://www.submitexpress.com/analyzer/ and see what's going on with your site.
I would suggest you to work on your site keywords density optimization.
What I noticed is:
1. Page DESCRIPTION Tag is out of sequence - should be after TITLE Tag and before KEYWORDS META Tags
2. META Description is MISSING a word that is in the TITLE
3. Relevancy of your site content to the title, description and keywords is poor.
I would say, optimization is your key.
Of cause, don't forget about good quality link exchange, posting your links into different relevant directories, forums, etc. Hope it will help
Have a great day

Regarding title tag - it will vary from SE to SE. Google has some limitations in number of characters it will take when it delivers the results.
What my suggestion is
* The title should be readable and informative to your site visitors
* Dont push all the keywords in to your home page
* Concentrate on one or two keywords for your main site( This should be your site's main theme words).
* Maintain quality content with the natural flow of keywords of what you have selected.
* make seperate pages for other keywords.

Actually, Google did not consider it as spam, hence it doesn't crawled. Commas have no used when it comes to on-page. So, its better to remove it. In addition to that, make your title short and use appropriate keywords on it.ablaye wrote:Hi,

Hi there,
I dont see any problems with your Website Title, infact its better to have keywords in the title. Having too many commas is not considered as spam. But keyword stuffing could be considered as spam.
But in your case it is completely fine.
