Official decleration from goolge
Google is now indexing flash.
If a flash file loads external Adobe SWF file(anoter flash file),it can now be tied up to the parent file while indexing, according to latest official decleration by goolge.
The entire flash indexed content is now contributing in SERPs.

Re: SEO and Flash
Google has new algorithm now that can indexed the content in swf file. The algo is like the way they index pdf.Barefooter wrote:I am confused. Some are saying that a Flash front page has no SEO value and others say that as long as keywords and metatags are inbedded via a robot that a Flash front page can garner high SEO ranking. Who is right?

From my experience, google can read flash. I have seen a pure flash website being indexed and returning text contained in the flash.
However, you must consider that google is not the whole internet. There are some other search engines that may drive you decent traffic. There may be a niche search engine that would bring you some visitors if only it could read your site. Also, even though google can read flash, it can not direct visitors to the most appropriate part of it.
Summary: If I wanted to rank high in google and other search engines I would stay away from flash websites.
