We always need to monitor the traffic to our website. We need to analysis for which keyword they come to our site and is it the same keyword we are targeting etc.

If the visitor comes for an irrelevant keyword we will not get any use from that traffic except one additional hit count. So it remains the importance of on page optimization.

I highly agree with you. I have been positioning myself as readers. I got so many bulk mails, and do not even feel wanting to give it a click. But when I get mails specially targeted to me, I tried to see what the business is, and I might hire or buy what's being offered.
