There really is no way you can submit to a top ten ranking. There is much more involved in the ranking process than just submissions to search engines.

You have to look at keywords, links coming to your site, unique page content and many pages just to name a few.

If your site is not yet indexed in Google you may wish to submit via the add url form here: http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

If your site is already in Google and you are not showing up under your most valuable keywords there are things that you can do to change that. It takes work and much dedication to learn yourself, or you can have a professional help you for a fee. Either way I recommend any site be optimized for search engines naturally and begin a marketing campaign to compliment the branding and promotion efforts.

Actually, submitting your site to Google won't help you at all to get indexed. You need to get some inbound links from sites that are spidered often. SEs follow links, so give them yours through popular sites. A good way to start is doing a directory submission. You can also do some relevant reciprocal linking, or if you have budget, purchase links from popular and relevant sites.

Once you're spidered and indexed, you may develop a balance link building.

PS: nothing can assure you a Top10.

The best way is to get theme based permanent relevant links which will help in listing as well as in top ranking on Google search results.

To come in Google top 10, you must do following things;

- Add sitemap in your site.
- Get quality backlinks.
- Update content regularely.

If above points are added then it is very easy to list your site in top 10.

 So true and one often forgets the amount of work search engine spiders are dealing with. How long do you people estimate it takes from submission of site till it gets listed at google?!

I just have seen that a site I recently submitted is already indexed today. That was actually within 1 week :D . I think this may have to do with where one places links to that site. If they happen to be crawled immediately afterwards, it may go faster.

What is the reason, that it takes six month to do so  ?!

On my question:"What is the reason, that it takes six month to do so?"
vistadivine wrote:Because currently there are more than 8.8 billion webpages in Google's index and everyday the number is increasing so there's a huge delay first in getting listed and then in ranking high. Because Google on its every update has to re-index that 8.8 billion webpages thats why it takes time.
This makes sense. Now I'm just wondering:
Is there a difference between sites that are ranked and sites that are only indexed on google?

vistadivine wrote:Difference in what terms?
Assuming two types of sites indexed at google.com:
1.) only indexed
2.) indexed and ranked by google.

Is there a difference in how they are treated by google in terms of ranking and weight as a back link?! Or asked otherwise: What is the influence on a web site of being ranked or not in terms of search engine results, weight as backlink etc. ?

Submitting to Google in my eyes pisses them off, and makes them think your site is an SEO scam.

If you get links to your site, and dont submit, Google picked me up in about 6 hours.

If you submit, Google puts you in a 'new site' sandbox. My first site took me 6-8 months to rank in Google because I submitted.

DONT SUBMIT! GOOGLE WILL HATE YOU
