Is the Dmoz rite place to submit for new sites????
For the new site, is it compulsory to submit in Google or yahoo or Dmoz..??
How does the search engines collect the new sites except Dmoz. I heard now Google is not collecting the source from dmoz also.
So how doest the procedure goes..???

Some people have told me that it takes up to 2 years from the time that you submit to the time that you are actually included in the directory. Another thing that they mentioned is that you can only submit once otherwise you jeopardize your chances in being included at all. I submitted a couple of months ago and I am still waiting!amylia wrote:I have submit my blog at DMOZ, but it's very hard to approve. Anybody can tell me why..

I've found that Dmoz is a great place to get your site listed if you can but as of lately it's been really hard to get your site listed in there. If anyone has had any luck with that let me know - and let me know what you did that was successful, thanks.

i have read that becoming an editor makes it more likely to be admitted but you have to be honest when you apply and say that you own a website related to the subject you are applying to edit. i'm sure someone could track that info if they wanted to, even if you don't admit it in your app.
i have submitted a few sites to dmoz. it's easy to submit but hard to be accepted!

I agree to you completely. There was a directory in which my site was submitted approx 2.5 years ago, I just saw the date and it got approved now.. But there are some directories which give the approval or rejection within days...dungcucamtay wrote:same situation with my site VietBDS.com.
